We had become little lazy today as we had got a good homely environment :). We had only Parshuram Temple visit on our radar for the day. There was another popular temple told our friend named "Kalkai" which local deity of Khed. They have a religious celebration every year. So we decided to visit both the places.
Had a delicious poha for breakfast and left for kalkai temple. This time i took my bike as i wanted to refill tank and also Rohit wanted to relax :). The temple is located on outskirts of khed near to NH-17 so it was on our way.
We moved on NH-17 towards Parshuram fata. It was around 40 kms from. The temple is around 4 kms from the main road. This temple is of worth visit. It is one of the oldest temple in Shayadri. We were little curious to know additional possible information about it. So we asked the Pujari at the temple. He was happy to explain the history for about half hour. You can google and check the history about the temple.
We headed straight back home as lunch was waiting for us :). The road condition were not so good on this chiplun-Khed area considering it as a national highway. We had targeted to reach home by 2 pm finish lunch and leave home by 3 pm for our next journey. Below is visual feast of delicious menu :)
It was time to say good bye. We packed all the lagguage and loaded our bikes. The day was sunny so we expected no rains. We left khed for our next destination that is Murud beach. The next day things on our radar were harnai, Anjarle, and kelshi beach. As it would be evening by the time we would have reached murud beach and find accommodation for us, we decided to just spend time at murud beach.
Murud beach was about 100 kms approx. Road was in good condition too. We managed to reach before 5 pm. We reached direct to the beach and found a nearby accommodation quickly. It was OK place to spend 1 night.
Now this would sound surprising but we haven't entered into water in 5 days of our journey :). We were already experiencing rains since 3 days so we didn't mind. Settled ourself in the room and then we straight went to beach. This Beach has black sand and quite a long sea shore. As it was weekday it was less crowded so it was quite and pleasant all over. I had decided to go for jogging next early morning..:)
